Two men have been formally charged with murder after the death in prison of one-time Lostprophets vocalist and convicted child sex offender Ian Watkins.
Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43 have both been charged with murder and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, according to police authorities.
Watkins, 48, was in the midst of a 29-year prison term at HMP Wakefield, plus an additional six years on license, after admitting a string of sex offences which included the tried rape of a very young child.
