The American entrepreneur Rejects Spurs Buyout Proposal Post-Initial Contact
The former chairman directed Spurs' transition to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in recent years.
American tech entrepreneur Brooklyn Earick has dismissed launching a buyout proposal for Tottenham.
Tottenham had earlier “firmly declined” an unofficial approach from a consortium headed by Brooklyn Earick last month and maintained the team was off the market.
However the nation's corporate governance laws dictated that, having had an informal proposal declined, the interested parties had to submit a bid by late October or announce they would refrain.
Official word of the decision was issued in a release released by Spurs to the London Stock Exchange, indicating the club is “no longer in an offer period.”
He shared an image of the statement on digital channels, remarking: “It's been a pleasure discussing with the club and the owners' representatives over the past few weeks.
“I have deep admiration for the club, its management, and its supporters, and wish them nothing but success.”
Tottenham's directors expressed gratitude to the syndicate for its “positive engagement” in discussions and for “acknowledging the firm stance” of the proprietors that the club is not for sale.
Earick is a one-time music presenter who also was employed in aerospace studies for NASA before creating the innovation company, which concentrates on innovation, communications, sports and leisure.
His approach was the third expression of interest declined by the organization's leadership since the sudden departure of long-serving chairman the former chairman in September.
Earlier in September, the team rejected offers from ex-Newcastle investor Staveley's the investment firm and a group led by Dr Roger Kennedy and the co-investor through the holding company.
Levy and his household control about 30% of Enic Sports & Developments Holdings Ltd – which has an nearly 87 percent stake in Spurs.
He was the Premier League's top-tenured leader and is reported to have earned over £50 million during his long tenure in the capacity.
