Golf England Calls for Government Funding for 2030 Women's Golf Showcase Hosting Proposal
The most recent Solheim Cup held on European soil took place in Spain last year, with the next edition scheduled for Holland in 2026.
After Europe's recent Ryder Cup triumph, the national golf association is urging UK authorities to support its bid to host the Solheim Cup in the country for the very first occasion.
This renowned tournament pitting the leading women players from Europe and the United States has taken place on two occasions in Scotland and in Wales but never in England. An official proposal has been put together to hold it at The Grove within Hertfordshire in 2030.
